Well, here are pictures of the picnic at the "Stone House" held in honor of our Friends And Family Day on August 3rd. It was, by every measure, a huge success. First, at least twenty-one of our families had guests with them for it (including at least two families from BDD). Second, those men who led in worship (Andy's "choir loft" comment with singing, Brian's great words about prayer, Tony Raburn's beautiful explanation of the Lord's Supper, Mike Sharp's very insightful thoughts about the Bible when Bible reading) and Dean Murphy's overview and summary helped "us" (BV members) as much as our guests. How wonderful to have the reminders we all received in worship yesterday morning. Third, the planning for this (from Jim Foster and Dean Murphy "deeking" to make it a reality to the army of greeters that made everyone feel welcome to the congregation meeting and greeting to Brian and Shawna Vance leading the charge for the picnic--they said so many helped with this; especially, Kathy Murphy, Tiffanie Vaught, and DeAnn Wilkie). You showed your heart for evangelism and a great environment into which to bring visitors made this an awesome day! Let's build on it. Here are a few pics:
